“We absolutely loved our stay in Playa Guiones, Costa Rica--glorious beach, surf, yoga, delicious pescetarian and vegan food! This home is a zen jewel box within a sweet beach community, walkable to all of the above. Fern could not have been more helpful and generous with suggestions. We felt so honored to be in her beautiful space, and will pay forward the generosity she shared with us! One tip is that we should have flown into Liberia (or Nosara) airports, as this home is 5-6 hours via shuttle from San Jose airport. Fern recommended Gypsy Cab Nosara for airport trips and a visit to the amazing SIBU monkey preserve (they were fantastic) and we used local tuk tuks to get to the ATM, restaurants we wanted to try that weren't within walking distance, etc. Also, bring cash (colones or US dollars)! Many of our favorite places in town--Buena Vibra yoga studio, Naked Foods, the amazing poke food truck, etc., didn't accept credit cards. Pura vida!”
