“What can I say?!?! This was one of the most amazing trips we have taken! First, Chris is a great host... he always kept in touch, gave us great advice, answered any questions we had and if there was anything that needed to be done, he did it right away. Trust him... ;-) The house has all the amenities you could possibly need, the pool is refreshing and the view to die for!!! We LIVED in the gorgeous downstairs patio/bar/kitchen area... the pictures here do not do it justice... it is stunning!!! Bajamar is a jewel! Remote enough to avoid overcrowding, yet it really is just a short drive to Jaco for all the shopping, dining, fishing charters, golf and night life you could want. Los Suenos is a must see and be sure to dine at La Pelicano! Alex, the caretaker for the house, and his family are jewels... they have a great "weekends only" restaurant three doors down! Alex is an incredible chef... he cooked almost all of our evening meals at an unbelievable price, his father is a Caballero and will bring horses to your door for rides on the beach to the river, cliffs and caves and they know all the great fishing spots! Oh... and make sure Alex calls his friends to book you the river cruise to see and feed the monkeys! It is a riot!!! This family definitely made our trip a huge success! Take Chris' advice and hook up with Jose of Tour Adventures Costa Rica and his drivers in San Jose... they were THE BEST for transfers from the airport, tours and rental cars. We had people coming and going for the entire two weeks and Jose took care of everyone. If you rent a car definitely pay to have them lead you to the house for the first time as those Tico back roads are a little confusing at first, lol! BUT... Google Maps works like a charm and once you get your bearings the drive is easy. Also, we had one of his drivers take our entire family to La Fortuna overnight to see Arenal and visit the Tabacon Hot Springs Resort... well worth the money!!! If you have been longing to visit Costa Rica, then this is the best SWAP you can possibly make! Make the contact, book it and get ready for a GRAN AVENTURA! ”
