Typical SWISS farmhouse

Our home is a typical farmhouse in the Swiss Prealps, located at an altitude of about 750 m, in the village of ENNEY in the Intyamon Valley.

We own the whole farmhouse of 3 apartments, but are exchanging only the ground floor, of approx 150 sqm, composed of 3 bedrooms (providing a total sleeping capacity of 7, including a convertible sofa), a large living/dining room, (with a wood stove), a well equipped kitchen, a bathroom (with an Italian type shower), all accessible to a wheelchair, as well as a sun-bathed terrace and a planted garden. This "B classified" farm has been built in 1640, with visible wooden beams, floors and partitions. It has been fully renovated in 2004 and upgraded ever since. The furniture and decoration are a combination of old (but not rustic) and modern styles, giving an overall cozy atmosphere

It is located at the heart of the village of Enney, within walking distance to the train station, the grocery, the village "Auberge" and the charming church. This means that no car is compulsory during you stay, since the train stops in Enney every hour, each way. It will for example take you less than a few minutes, to the medieval city-castle of Gruyères, which is one of the leading tourist attractions in Switzerland. However if you really feel necessary to visit and shop, you are only few minutes drive to the nearby supermarket (Migros MM), at la Tour de Trème and to charming Bulle, where you will find all the int'l brands you are accustomed to as well as more local items, like souvenirs, etc. and terrace-cafés, restaurants, cinemas, and other entertainment facilities

Our visitors appreciate above all the calm and silence of our location, far from the stress of their every day Life. Its wild character and pastoral landscapes left unchanged through the years. There's a wonderfully harmonious blending of villages and meadows, forests and pastures, all seeming to belong to another age. Every aspect of this part of the country - the use of space, the scenery, the architecture of the farm buildings and the houses have all been influenced by... cheese! In the villages of the valley, the area's rich past can be read on the façades of the houses and the barns.
