Amazing recently renovated chalet

A newly rennovated ski chalet in the quiet village of Villette, Le Chable. The chalet is a 5 minutes walk from the bubble (ski lift) which connects with the world famous ski resort of Verbier. Getting onto the slopes from the chalet is faster than 90% of the chalets in Verbier.

Le Chable is also where the train connects to Martigny and onto Geneva and Zurich airports. It is also possible to fly into Sion during the winter.

In the winter the chalet offers excellent access to skiing and other
winter sports. It is also possible to sample the nightlife of Verbier with a 15 minute taxi ride. In the summer there are many exciting activities such as mountain biking, hiking, riding and paragliding as well as more sedate activities such as swimming, walking, golf and tennis. It is also a perfect base for taking on the challenging Haute Route.

There is also an excellent music festival over the summer months which attracts classical musicians and fans from all across the globe. Last year Kiki Te Kanawa was one of the stars of the festival.

The chalet is split into two self contained apartements. Both have:
1. a large modern kitchen with wonderful views of the mountains.
2. a large dining room table which seats 8 comfortably but can be extended twice to seat up to 12 people depending on the size of your group.
3. a spacious sitting room has a wood burning cast iron stove which creates a very cost atmosphere and has 2 large 3 seater sofas.

The upper apartment has 4 bedrooms. Two of these bedrooms are extremely large and each have a king size bed as well as a sitting room area which can be converted into extra sleeping space for large groups or familys. Both of these large bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom, one with a bath and the other with a shower. All four bedrooms can be made up as either doubles (one large bed) or twins (2 beds). Of the 2 smaller bedrooms one has a large ensuite shower room while the other is next to a large family bathroom with a bath and over bath shower as well as a washing machine.

The lower apartment has 5 double bedrooms and 4 bath/shower rooms (2 en-suite). There are two very large bedrooms that have an en suite shower or bathroom. There are two large double bedrooms (one of which has a sofa) and a further smaller twin room. There is considerable flexibity as to how these 5 bedrooms are set up.

There is also a lovely garden with fruit trees which can be used lwhen the weather is nice towards the end of the ski season and also in the summer. Off street parking is also available next to the chalet.

Le Chable is a pretty village with a good community spirit. There are several shops, including 2 supermarkets, 2 pharmacies and a bakery with coffee shop, within walking distance of the chalet. There are also several restaurants to suit all budgets, again all within walking distance.

As we use the chalet as our home when we do not have Airbnb guests it is very well equipped, especially the kitchen. We also have ample equipment for babies and children, including cots, high chairs, stair gates as well as sterilisers, plastic crockery and even some toys including sledges.
