Acerca de nuestra casa

Our home is a typical wooden Norwegian townhouse from the 1930th. Our home was completely refurbished in 2007 including a new annex containing kitchen and dining area with direct access to our garden.

Our home is in the old trade and harbor town Drammen. In Drammen you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere along the river flowing from the mountains down to the fjord of Drammen. From Drammen you can easily visit Oslo – the capital of Norway - by train or by car in 30 minutes. You can also drive along the fjord southwards and visit beautiful cities like Tønsberg and Kragerø (1-2 hour drive) or drive up north to the mountain to do some hiking in Norefjell (1 hour drive) or even a bit further up north to enjoy the mountains in Ål in Hallingdal or in Gaustablikk in Telemark (2-3 hour drive).

Our hometown is a small town but it has a lot to offer if you want to see a bit of Norway. We have seven bikes that you can use and two kayaks that can be used on the river or on the fjord. The fjords are great for fishing and you will find that the river that divides Drammen is one of the best rivers for fishing salmon in Norway.

In the capital of Norway, Oslo you can enjoy the country’s highest concentration of museums, art galleries, shops, restaurants and clubs. Discover Edvard Munch’s work at the Munch Museum in Tøyen. Take in the stunning views from the top of the new ski jump in Holmenkollen. See the Viking Ships on Bygdøy. Watch the sun set over the Oslofjord from the deck of an old schooner. Or sample some of Norway’s excellent seafood by the quayside at Aker Brygge.

By visiting Norway in the summer you will experience that the sun hardly sets. We do hope you would like to get to know our area and would be happy to hear from you.
