My villa is approx 50 metres from the ocean and is situated at the end of Candi Dasa Beach. The beach is ideal for swimming as it is flat water to the reef and has a sandy bottom. There is a snorkelling area just up the beach with tropical fish in abundance. we have snorkels and goggles and i have a stand up paddle board which is ideal for the flat water conditions out the front. The main villa has 2 bedrooms, one with air conditioning, open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area and outside/inside bathroom and outside shower near pool. The pool house which is more traditional and open style sleeps 4 people and has amazing views across to Nusa Peninda and Nusa Lembongan. I have two balinese staff, Iluh the house maid works from Monday to Friday from 9am to approx. 1pm, and maintains the house. my first year of home exchange was in 2010 when i travelled to spain and france for 3 mths. 2011 i exchanged in wanaka new zealand and oahu hawaii. 2012 i did 4 mths in greece, italy, praque and amsterdam on home swaps. 2013 greece, turkey, sardinia, france, amsterdam and morrocco. this year 2014 will be spain, amsterdam and munich and who knows where else i might land.

i have been retired for nine years now and home exchanging my villa I had in bali. I am now exchanging my home in lennox head Australia. I was trained as a draftsperson and worked in local government for the past 20 years at Byron Shire Council, Northern NSW. I love painting, surfing, kitesurfing, stand up paddle boarding and playing tennis. my first year of home exchange was back in 2010 where i travelled to spain, france and portugal for 3 months. 2011 i exchanged in new zealand and also hawaii. 2012 took me to crete, syros, italy, sardinia, sicily, praque, amsterdam and lancellin in western australia. 2013 is back to greece, samos leros and rhodes, turkey, sardinia, amsterdam, biarittz and morrocco all on home exchanges. this is a fantastic way to see the world and meet new friends.
Candi Dasa is located approx one and a half hours from Nyuragai Rai Airport, Denpasar and is a quiet fishing village away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta. It is the most popular destination on the east coast and offers a classy alternative to the southern areas. In addition to the fine dining at the many restaurants in town there are a number of boutique hotels offering excellent food and accommodation. Ubud the cultural capital of the island is only 1 hr away. There are many things to do here, you can go to Amed for incredible diving and snorkelling only 1 hr away, Mount Agung is also 1 hr away and there are hundreds of temples and beautiful scenery here. The snorkelling and diving is fantastic as it is only a short 5 min boat ride to Gili Mimpang, Gili Tepakong just off the coast which provides an abundance of marine life. my villa is located at the end of Candi Dasa beach in Samuh Village and is set amidst banana and coconut trees.
