Acerca de nuestra casa

Our home is a big compound where we also constructed a small guest room. It is the next door to our synagogue. Machilipatnam town is a historical town and we live on the out skirts of the town in a peaceful atmosphere. Visitors from Israel, youth and researchers are always welcome. We have three bathrooms.

We can accommodate 4-6 persons in our guest room. Our members are very friendly and the visitors can stay with free access to Internet, transportation and market etc. Vijayawada airport is 90 minutes from our house. We provide meals[south Indian style] for free of cost and expect the visitors to give donation to the synagogue when they leave. Visitors must intimate their arrival in advance. Smoking in the house or compound is not allowed.

Besides the facilities, we offer some thing more valuable to the visitors from Israel. Ours is the oldest Diaspora Israeli community. We encourage the researchers, writers and Hebrew teachers to utilize the info and meet the community members, visit historical places around, make short films, teach us spoken hebrew and have fun. You can find our community info in Google search. Just type Telugu Jews or Bene Ephraim community, Shmuel Yacobi, Hebrew & Telugu Menorah songs from south India etc. in Google search and you can find some info about us.

Our neighborhood is quiet. You can have peace when you are writing your book or thesis, and public transportation is everywhere very close to our house. You can travel from Machilipatnam to Vijayawada by bus, train, car or a taxi. The Vijayawada airport is also 90 minutes from our house. Hyderabad is 8 hrs by bus or train or 40 minutes by flight.

I am the member of the Bene Ephraim Community at Machilipatnam. I am working as a contract lecturer and teaching English literature to the post graduates in the distance education department of A.N. University study center at Machilipatnam National College. I have been learning and teaching the basic biblical Hebrew since 1986. I am interested to compose Hebrew and Telugu songs. Recently I have composed and recorded 7 Hebrew Menorah songs and placed those on ITunes, tunecore, amazon etc.

I also wrote English poetry 'Pandemonium Revisited', The Nathanble [3 volumes], The Prince of Whales etc and those are available on and I am going to make a Telugu / Hebrew /English comedy movie. I am looking for new faces from the Diaspora youth and adult artists to act in my movie. I am also trying to visit Israel along with a 10 member group to learn spoken Hebrew and experience Israel community culture. I am expecting a house in Israel for us to stay for 2 weeks.
