Perfect house for families travelling to Iceland with big, open garden and hot-tub/jacuzzi. 100m from sea with stunning mountain views and plenty of hiking/biking options in the vicinity. Being on the outskirts of Reykjavík, in Mosfellsbær, the location offers good quality sighting of the Northern Lights (on a good night you can enjoy it from the hot-tub in our garden) in the winter months. 20 min drive to Reykjavik centre. Close: supermarkets, restaurant, cafe (bakery), playgrounds, swimming pool with slides, horses - all within 2 km from the house. An excellent 18-hole golf course within walking distance.
The location is close to several tourist attractions. 25 minute drive to Thingvellir National Park, 70 minutes drive to Geysir and 85 minutes to the Gullfoss waterfall. 40 minute drive to Blue Lagoon. 5 minutes drive to Esja, a beautiful mountain which is the most popular hiking destination for locals in the greater Reykjavik area.
