Acerca de nuestra casa

Located on the western tip of the Reykjavik peninsula, about 5 minutes drive from downtown Reykjavik, our house has been in the same family since 1970, bought and renovated by the second generation in 2006. With modern interiors and a spacious garden to the south, the house has spectacular views over the fjord and mountain range. The garden is equipped with a trampoline, small soccer goal, a jacuzzi, Weber gas grill and outdoor dining facilities.

Our favorite café is Kaffitár, downtown Reykjavik. It takes you about 5 minutes to drive there, 30 to walk.

Skólavörðustígur is our favorite. It happens to be a very short car-ride away from our house or a 15 min bike ride. Then you could also walk!

From our house you can take a spectacular 5 or 7 km walk almost entirely by the sea, with avid birdlife and the great lighthouse at Grotta.

A 5 minutes walk from our house will take you to the fabulous swimming pool, adjoined by a World Class gym.

Mount Esja is clearly visible from our living room. It can be scaled in about 2 hours. The drive there takes about 30 min.
