Haus Freistabl Sölden

House Freistabl is an old (about 90 years) Ötztal-house. With exception of the kitchen it is entirely built of wood. We renovated it lavishly and lovingly, respecting the conservation of the Ötztal style where possible with old elements. It is situated at 1500 m above sea level in the valley of Vent close to the village of Zwieselstein in the municipality of Sölden in the upper Ötztal in Tyrol (Austria). It stands allone overlooking a white-water river with superb views of the surrounding mountains.

The capital of Tyrol Innsbruck is an hour's drive away. In summer you can cross the border to Italy (15 km away) and visit Meran in South Tyrol. International Airports to get there are Innsbruck, Munich (Germany) and Zurich (Switzerland).

Ötztal is a paradise for hiking in summer and skiing in winter. Two skiing areas (Sölden and Obergurgl) can be reached by bus directly from the house.

The property is primarily available for swaps during the lower seasons. The Villa is only available for rent, not swaps, during the high seasons except at the last minute (1-2 weeks prior to arrival date) if for some reason it is not rented. The high season is from Dec.20th through March 31st.

All guests (including swappers) pay for utilities (including any heating) and for the final professional cleaning and laundering after they have departed (the house needs to be returned to the status of a rental-ready property and that requires a professional cleaning; it will be presented to you in the same status) and are asked to post a deposit for the utilities and estimated professional cleaning costs to reserve their booking, plus a refundable security/damage deposit.
