“July 2021 Our hosts Carole and Harvey were an absolute delight, the perfect hosts, generous, kind and knowledgeable. We had the most enjoyable time at this beautiful spotless heritage hotel built in 1894, especially the “Happy Hour” each evening, where we had the privilege of learning some extraordinary history of Sydney and the Hotel. We took the lift to an ensuited, large, sunlit room, with very comfortable queen size beds, two comfortable chairs, a large TV, Internet, reverse cycle airconditioning, a bar fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, draws and hanging space for our clothes and a balcony with an outdoor setting. It is a fabulous hotel in a wonderful location, away from the busy roads but only a few minutes to Broadway Shopping Centre. There are an abundance of restaurants and cafes in this area. Public transport is in close proximity with busses travelling directly into the city. It is an easy walk to Paddy’s Market and the beautiful Darling Harbour. There is so much to do and see in and around Sydney. The Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, The Rocks, Watsons Bay, Manly, the Blue Mountains, the Hunter Valley and so much more. We look forward to returning to Sydney to stay with these amazing hosts.”

“What a terrific place to stay in Sydney. The location is excellent and so close to Darling Harbour & the Rocks. Highlights were walking around beautiful Kirribilly and over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and pub crawling through The Rocks, and dining at the Opera House. Carole & her staff were absolutely wonderful and friendly with great recommendations for local places to eat and drink. The room was excellent, very clean, comfortable and spacious.
