It is just a ½ hour walk to the famous Manly surf beaches and 2 harbour national parks overlooking the entrance to Sydney Harbour.

Just a short walk from our doorstep is all the action and excitement you could want in arguably the most beautiful harbour city in the world. Activities include whale watching (in season) and soaking in the incredible views from the stunning national park of North Head; hiking; sailing; jet boating; paragliding, scuba diving; snorkelling; surfing and mountain bike riding.

In addition to the peak hour express bus service which stops outside the house, another all day bus service delivers you to the Manly terminal for an enjoyable ½ hour ferry ride to the Sydney Central Business District. You can also catch a bus to the major regional Warringah Mall shopping centre at Brookvale, some 2 miles away.

Having retired in 2014 we will have time on our hands to meet “the locals” at places we visit.
