The neighbourhood is best describe as being a village with all the usual amenities within 5 minutes walk .Balmain is well endowed with parks with most of which hug sydneys harbour foreshore where views of two of sydneys iconic buildings may be viewed namely the harbour bridge and opera house.Restaurants bars cafes and boutique shops line the main darling street which runs down to a ferry terminal which services Darling Harbour and Circular Quay.A 5 minute taxi ,10 minute bus or 30minute walk will take you to the heart of Sydneys CBD where numerous facilities may be found and enjoyed.
