Acerca de nuestra casa
The Stone House, Perth, Tasmania, a historical Georgian six-bedroom home. Equipped with all the modern features of a luxury 5 star hotel, the Stone House is beautifully set in an Old English Garden overlooking the South Esk River. The property is a treasure of Tasmania and classified by the National Trust.
Comfortable with five spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, the property is a perfect get away for family and friends - a week in North Central Tasmania in Paradise has never been more comfortable! The caretaker's wing can also offer an extra bedroom.
Victorian History, Modern Comforts - The Stone House dates back to circa 1825, built for Rev John Youl - encasing Tasmania's first Northern clergyman's significance and Perth's importance in the region. Now, the property is a Listed Georgian Home with original cedar panelling, fan lights and rubble and bluestone walls - built by convicts.
The Accommodation is 5 Star AAA rated, providing five bedrooms, five bathrooms, (four en-suites), living room, dining room, kitchen, conservatory, television room and computer room. The Stone House is quite simply a home away from home, where 'little things' make a difference. The Garden offers peace and tranquillity - walk around admiring Old English traditional flowers or beautiful old trees (said to have the oldest Magnolia in Tasmania), or grab a book to sit and read amidst the pockets of greenery.
Location - The Stone House is located in Perth, Tasmania, Australia. 15 minutes from Launceston and only seven minutes by car from the Launceston Airport.

Reseñas de Rhiannon
Como anfitrión ES: (4)“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Stone House in Perth, Tasmania. Everything about the property was just perfect! Gorgeous gardens just across from the river and a stunning home filled with so much character and charm. We had a spectacular time exploring in and around Launceston. Thanks Rhiannon for a wonderful stay.”
“Rhiannon home was simply amazing, I cannot speak highly of enough of this beautiful, stunning home. From the moment you walk into the home you are overwhelmed by the style, glamour and attention to detail. This home is truly a walk in the past of our early settlers who were quite possibly a family of wealth in the upper echelon of society. Rhiannon's family have truly ploughed their heart and soul into upgrading and maintaining this glorious home. Having the river right by the home just added to our holiday where we spent many hours soaking in the atmosphere of the river, the locals as well as picnicking or throwing in a line or two. The town ship of Perth was within walking distance if you chose. There was a IGA, a bakery and all essential pub. Launceston was about a 15 minute drive away where there was everything you might expect from a main city. We had one small hic up with the internet, within 24 hours Rhiannon's family were onto it and had it completely sorted. The communication with Rhiannon was very helpful leading up to the trip by suggesting local attractions. Any concerns I had was followed up promptly. At the house there were many flyers for us to browse and plan different days activities. One trip we did was on the Tamar river taking a lunch time cruise made extra special by the glorious weather we had. We felt honored to have been allowed to swap into this home and would love the opportunity to be able to arrange another swap. Thank you Rhiannon for a very successful house swap and for leaving our home very clean and tidy. ”
“We all fell in love with the Magnolia tree and rose garden. Our girls named the chickens and we had some great dinners in the garden room facing the sunset. The hot tub and pool were also appreciated. We went to the winery that was suggested and had a delicious lunch and watched the kids running on the luscious lawn. The house was presented beautifully with fluffy towels and caring touches everywhere.”

We love unique homes and location that create a sense of peace while having local touches. We are looking at swapping with homes that have at least three bedrooms to cater for my family :)

Where is it?
Vecindario
Our home in a small town just outside of Launceston. It faces the beautiful river below and the town itself has a grocery shop, a few cafes, pub, pizza shop, butcher, petrol station and an antique store. You will definitely need a car to get around! It is located 15 minutes away from two very old and quaint towns called Evandale and Longford, which are worth visiting. In Evandale on Sunday mornings, there is always a farmers market with some special treats. This area is famous for its wines and we would highly recommend visiting Joseph Chromy closer to Launceston for the wine and food, don't forget to book in as it does get very busy.
