My house is in a very quiet centrally located position. Coolum is situated between Maroochydore 20 minutes drive away to the south and Noosa 20 mins to the north. Brisbane, a large city, is just 130 kms drive and the Gold Coast (Surfers Paradise) where there are many theme parks, is only 2 hours drive away. Public transport is readily available however I may consider my car being available however I do not require a car. Budget car hire is available if required.

The Sunshine Coast has many diverse things to do for all age groups. visit Australia Zoo (made famous by the late crocodile hunter, Steve Irwin), Glasshouse mountains and Blackall range whale watching from Sunshine Coast or Hervey Bay, visit World Heritage listed Fraser Island and National Park, the biggest natural sand island in the world. There are many other activities, wineries, hiking, world class golf courses, galleries, the famous Eumundi Markets, fishing, diving, swimming, and surfing.

Maroochydore domestic airport, where you can fly to Australia's major capital cities (Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, and Perth) is only 10 minutes drive away.

The air temperature minimum/maximum during June to September is very pleasant (June 9/21, July 7/21, August 8/22, September 10/24).

My name is karen and I am a single woman in my late 40's. I work as a health professional at the local hospital on the Sunshine Coast. I am planning a 3 month vacation (long service leave) to Spain and France from Easter 2009 to early July 2009. I will be travelling with my niece 15yrs (in June & July) and possibly travel with a female companion for some of this time.
I enjoy outdoor activities, art and meeting new people.
I would like to spend 3-4 weeks in Barcelona in May, 3-4 weeks in a coastal village in Spain or France late May to around June 10th or late June to 8th July 2009, and Paris mid June to end of June (2-3 weeks). I am learning Spanish in preparation of my visit.
