In the Sunshine Coast hinterland, 1/2 way between towns of Maleny & Landsborough, which are about 12kms ( 7.5 miles) apart (horses & cows in next door paddocks), but only 20-25 minutes by car to magic beaches (the worlds best & uncrowded, (we think the best), but we maybe a little biased) & 7 minutes drive from world famous Australia Zoo (the late Steve Urwin, crocodile guy) & country town of Maleny with numerous restaurants, plus shops, cheese factory, wineries & famous Sunshine Coast beaches only a short drive away (you can see them from the back of the house).

Montville with lots of shops, restaurants, bars is only 16kms (10 miles) away.

Air New Zealand fly from Auckland New Zealand to Maroochydore Airport, Sunshine Coast, which is only 42kms away (about 30 mins drive) July to September.

From Auckland, the largest city in New Zealand, nonstop to USA, Canada, Asia & 1 stop to Europe.

We're not far from the big smoke. It's around 40 minutes drive on mostly 4 land highway to the outskirts of Brisbane, or an hour to centre of city, as long as not in peak hour.

Brisbane International Airport has around 14 nonstop flights a week to Los Angeles, many parts of Asia & 1 stop to virtually any other major city anywhere else in the world.

NOTE: on map, we're not at Maleny, but that is the nearest town. We're at an area called Bald Knob, east of Maleny closer to the coast. Bald Knob has no shops. The closest business is a winery, almost within walking distance.

We are located on top of a ridge, so can see the Pacific Ocean, on a quiet sealed bush road, near all amenities, with views for 20-30 kms.

House is huge, with mod cons, ie. large 50 inch TV + 2nd TV, dishwasher, microwave, huge fridge/freezer.

Major supermarkets at Maleny (Woolworths & IGA) & at Landsborough (IGA).

The train line to Brisbane is also at Landsborough, just down the bottom of the "hill" about 7 kms (less than 4.5 miles) away. Express trains (with minimal stops) take just over the hour to Brisbane.

We have a 5th room, we call the media room, that we have had 4 or more kids sleeping in, so house can easily take more than 7 people, but there are at present, only beds for 7, ie. 1 queen bed, 1 double bed, 3 singles + numerous matresses, for the media room if required.

Being on top of a ridge air conditioning is not required. For the very odd hot night, we have fans.
