A spacious and luxurious penthouse apartment (3+ bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, maid quarters, indoor garden) spread over two full floors (14th and 15th). With 330 sqm, the apartment offers plenty of living space and privacy, the two floors being practically two separate apartments linked by a marble stairways. The top floor has the guest quarters with ensuite and its own living room, bar, sunroom and sun-bathing balcony. The building is centrally located in the best part of Buenos Aires (Palermo), with a panoramic view of the city and the Plata River where the latter meets the Atlantic Ocean. The apartment is fully equipped with all the amenities for a comfortable stay (air-conditioning, washer/dryer, dishwasher, piano, 2 TV with cables, stereo, computer with Internet, 2 bikes, garage...).
Within walking distance of the apartment are many of the attractions that make Buenos Aires such a delightful place to live and visit: lush landscaped parks, fascinating museums, elegant shopping, exciting tango shows, innumerable cafes and restaurants. The vibrant downtown core and its nightlife is less than 10 minutes away by taxi or bus.

We are a family of 2 in our 50's who moved to Buenos Aires about two a year ago and quickly fell in love with the country and the people of Argentina. Our daughter is away at university but usually joins us for vacations. We are non smokers, have no pets and travel extensively both for work and for vacations.
Following a very successful exchange with Sydney, Australia, we are eager to repeat the experience.

Palermo is a beautiful residential neighbourhood stretching along the estuary of the Plata River with a high concentration of green parks (Botanical Gardens, Japanese Gardens, Zoological Park, Bois de Palermo....) interspersed with recreational and shopping complexes.
The world capital of Tango, Buenos Aires is an exciting metropolis of more than 10 million inhabitants with a definite European outlook, architecture and charm. Often called the Paris of South America, it is a pleasant and safe city by most standards. Its many historic neighbourhoods and distinctive barrios are easy to explore on foot. Since the devaluation of the peso three years ago, the cost of living is low and many activities including entertainment (a huge selection of quality theatrical productions) are great bargains.
